• Details of the new regulatory requirements and how to comply with them
• Understanding the basic waste laws covering illegal disposal, transport and other obligations
• Basic waste compliance on landfilling, transport, classification and tracking
• Waste licensing under the POEO Act and legal obligations for generators and the waste industry
• Overview of the generic and specific Resource Recovery Exemptions
• Properly classify controlled waste according to the new Waste and other classification guidelines
• A focus on asbestos waste and Acid Sulphate Soils
• Overview the triggers for hazardous waste classification e.g. dangerous goods
• Identify the new immobilisation documentation requirements
• Examine the tracking system for controlled waste in NSW and interstate
