NSW is undertaking its largest review of planning legislation since the 1980s. In general reviewing the planning process is needed. This conference will discuss the new White Paper - A New Planning System for NSW and what changes it will bring. It will also discuss the failures and issues of the current planning system and consider how they will be addressed under the new proposed legislation.

Creating a new planning system is a challenge, with many stakeholders involved. The seminar will explore a range of these views on the White Paper. Legal, community, consulting and a developers views share the Department of Planning in an engaging round of talks and a panel session. A focus will be on the larger more controversial developments and how they are to be considered. Key speakers include:
