2024 Version
Create well written PIRMPs to comply and also protect your business into the future
Ensure your Pollution Incident Response Management Plans (PIRMP) is not a document which can be used against your company, when an incident occurs. Not only to better control the incident but to also protect the organisation from being a victim of its own documentation. Holding an Environment Protection Licences means that not only should a PIRMP be prepared and ready for implementation, but it must also be updated, tested and training occur. EPA has been increasing its enforcement of PIRMP requirements and has amend PIRMP law under the POEO (General) Regulation 2022 and April 2024 changes to the POEO Act 1997. Also the Adaptation part of Climate Change Mitigation & Adaptation Plans, when implemented, will impact on your PIRMP requiring consideration of extreme weather events.
ASBG's webinar will over 3 session cover the basics of what is required in a PIRMP, but also how to meet the new changes and guidelines and write the document so your site has more control over what incidents are considered to trigger Material Harm and how they are responded to.
